We're excited to let you know that our keynote speaker is Emilie Lygren, a poet and educator who has a special passion for working with youth. Her writing enlivens commonplace moments with the meaning and depth they deserve. Her work has been widely published, ranging from poems in over 20 literary journals and magazines to dozens of resources on outdoor science education, nature journaling, and social emotional learning developed during her time with the BEETLES project at the Lawrence Hall of Science. Emilie believes poems bring us closer… to ourselves, to one another, and to the world we inhabit.
